Mackworth Provides Training on Bottom-Sealing Filter Barrier Technology for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation

In August 2020, Mackworth-Enviro was invited to provide a two-hour training on bottom-sealing filter barrier technology for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The course consisted of; the specifics of Bottom-Sealed Filter Barriers and technology, the range of potential applications in NY waterways, advantages and disadvantages as related to other technologies, an understanding of critical aspects of design and deployment, constraints and limitations, and a general overview of timing and cost range considerations. Each section of the course was followed by a brief true or false test to assess understanding of the content.
